Research Academy alumna Melody Forth wins 2021 MRS Excellence Award

2021 MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice Award winner Melody ForthWe’re delighted that Melody has won the coveted MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice Award! The award was presented to her at the 2021 MRS Excellence Awards.

Sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Marketors, this award honours the best-performing MRS Advanced Certificate candidate. The winner is selected from the entire pool of candidates who participated in the 2020 and January 2021 assessment rounds. Melody achieved outstanding results in both the exam and the coursework, with Distinction marks across the board.

Melody is understandably delighted to have won the 2021 award. Commenting on her win, she said “I’m so happy to receive the 2021 MRS Advanced Certificate in Market & Social Research Practice Award. I can’t thank the Research Academy enough for the support they gave to me whilst students and tutors adapted to changes brought about by Covid restrictions. They ensured we were fully prepared for all aspects of the accreditation.”

Research Academy MD Mia Lorenz is over the moon about this result. She says, “Melody showed real strength and determination in attaining the MRS Advanced Certificate. She balanced work, study, and the impact of Covid, which included delays to the exam date and format. Her thoughtful and organised approach served her well. We’re very proud of her, and are sure she’ll have a stellar career in market research.”

Melody is a Research Manager at Consumer Insight, a market research agency based in Warwick. Before this, she worked as Research Advisor to the Midcounties Co-operative, the UK’s largest independent society. Commenting on this, she said “taking the course helped me to transfer the skills from my degree and client-side work to the agency setting.”

Melody graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first class degree in Psychology. She then took on several data-led positions before beginning her career in market research.
