Ever wonder what our team gets up to in their spare time? Well, Mia does a lot of hiking and climbing!
Having taken the Mountain Leader training course in October 2022, Mia spent nearly a year consolidating her skills in navigation, steep ground work, and group management. She passed the five-day assessment in September 2023 with flying colours, thanks to support from friends, family and the great team at Paul Poole Mountaineering.
As a Mountain Leader, Mia wants to support people to have fun and to connect with nature, themselves and each other in the upland environment. She aims to do this by inspiring and informing the people in her care, while making sure they’re safe at all times and having a great day. Mia’s special areas of interest are the archaeology and flora & fauna of Eryri, but will happily chat with you about any outdoor topic.
Because she’s a glutton for punishment, Mia will work toward her Rock Climbing Instructor qualification next. Watch this space!
