Technical requirements

All students have full access to our online learning environment.

All you need to access our online learning environment is a PC, laptop or tablet with a good internet connection. It also works with most smartphones. No extra software is needed to watch the recorded tutorials, making it easy to catch up if you miss a class.

Written coursework needs to be submitted in MS Word.

If you plan to take an online course, you’ll need the following in order to participate in our live online tutorials:

  • PC or laptop
  • Chrome browser (other browsers will not work)
  • A good internet connection e.g. download speeds of 5 Mbps, upload speeds of 1 Mbps
  • A good microphone if you want to speak during tutorials, e.g. a USB headset with mic and speakers (essential for MRS Diploma students)

Please note that if your internet connection is slow or unstable, you may not be able to hear properly during the tutorials or have difficulty participating. For this reason please make sure you can attend tutorials from a location with a good connection. If you share a connection, please ask others sharing it not to e.g. download large files or watch online videos while you’re participating.
